Cleaning and maintaining your hearing aid daily ensures they will function properly.  We will instruct you on how to take care of your hearing aids.

Steps you can take to care of your hearing aid include:
Checking the batteries - using a battery tester to make sure the batteries are at full strength so the hearing aid are functioning optimally.
To keep your hearing aids working effectively, it’s important to clean them regularly.  Make sure your hands are clean before gently wiping the hearing aid with a soft, dry cloth to remove any dirt and dust.  Never use cleaning fluid, alcohol or water, since these can damage your hearing devices.
Keeping moisture to a minimum - putting your hearing aid in a drying container prevents moisture buildup and ensures the hearing aid functions properly.

Minimizing feedback - feedback is the whistling noise that can come from a hearing aid. It can happen when the ear mold is too small or if the patient has too much ear wax. Contact us if you hear feedback from your hearing aid.
